The night was a velvet blanket spread over Manhattan, blanketing the glass and steel in a soft, ethereal glow. The Oculus Wings, illuminated from the inside, were mesmerizing. They almost seemed to be fluttering in the night sky, despite never having moved. Against the backdrop of the One World Trade Center, the wings looked like a majestic eagle preparing for flight.
