Soarin' Eagle Roller Coaster, Luna Park, Coney Island, New York.

The sky was clouded over but the amusement park rides broke through the gloom with their sparkling lights. The air was still and eerily quiet, punctuated only by the occasional sound of laughter from the few scattered souls brave enough to venture out. Cars and motorcycles parked on the street called to mind a former era of wild abandon. In the center, Soarin' Eagle spread its wings but remained static in the night air, almost as if it were a sign of hope in this surreal landscape. Further back, the Wonder Wheel served as a reminder of simpler times and childhood innocence. From atop the roller coasters, the view is breathtaking; the lights from the machines twinkle like stars in a vast universe.
