Statue of Liberty V Ferry, New York Harbor.

The Statue of Liberty V ferry was headed towards Liberty State Park in New Jersey. It was a beautiful fine day on New York Harbor, the water reflecting the cloudless azure sky, the sun high in its afternoon glory. The decks of the ferry were full of people, families with small children, couples and a few lone travelers.

The view on the port side of the ferry was of the majestic Statue of Liberty, its strong form standing tall against the brilliant backdrop of the harbor. On the starboard side of the ferry was the equally impressive and picture-perfect Manhattan skyline, its skyscrapers reaching for the heavens. As the ferry made its way across the harbor, the passengers admired the iconic skyline, including the One World Trade Center, the Chrysler Building, and the Empire State Building. Further away, to the northwest, the shimmering gold facade of the Goldman Sachs Tower could be seen in the distance, alongside other gleaming buildings in Jersey City.

The passengers on the ferry chatted and pointed out familiar sights, taking pictures and smiling at the wonderful view. Some of them had been there before and were amazed at how much the skyline had changed since their last visit. Others had never seen the Statue of Liberty or the skyline before and were overwhelmed by the beauty of it all.
